Pretty & Polished Party on my Yacht

I've had so many things to post for you guys, I thought I'd throw this as an extra, random post!!! Pretty much because I can't stop talking about this polish and it's creator!  Today I'm shoping you Party on my Yacht, which is what led me to Chels Marie.  You can find that HERE, which is on Etsy.  Chels Marie's shop is called PrettyandPolished.   Full size bottles (below) are $8 each.  She does have a full duo for $15.  She also sells minis, which are $4.50.  There is also a really cool one for $4.35 called The Amazing Technicolor TopCoat - find it HERE.  She describes it as:

This polish is all over the place and completely loaded with color. Every single bottle of the Amazing Technicolor TopCoat is different. The size, shape, and colors are never the same. It will even have a tint to it sometimes because of pigments. The glitters that I use in all of my polishes will end up in this top coat. Making polishes can be a messy job and I always get glitter on my work mat. I always scrap my glitters into a container at the end of the day and save them for this top coat. It's a fun surprise in a bottle!

So where do I start?!  This is 3 coats in the pictures.  I think even 2 would have been ok if you don't mind the sheer look.  I am personally a huge fan of milky white polishes (future posts will prove that).  But this is just like a confetti cupcake - for my nails!  There are gold, green, pink, and purple glitter prices along with teal bar glitter.  This base is so nice and thick too - but in a completely good way.  The glitter applies itself, and almost evens out without any effort.  Finished product is completely smooth.  I only used 1 coat of Wicked Fast top coat.  I can't say enough good things about this polish.  It was love at first brush stroke.

Below are the other 2 I bought from her shop.  And actually, after I tried PomY, I ran back to her shop and bought 3 more haha!  Can't wait to see them!  I believe the shop is stocked quite often, so hopefully you'll find what you're looking for!

I left all the pictures really big so you can sit and drool like I did over pictures.  Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed one of my new favorites!  I don't know why I'm so hooked, but I seriously can look at these pictures all day! haha  I also love how the glitter sparkles in certain lights.  I noticed the colors come through different depending on the lighting!  OH and the milky white base helps suspend the glitter so it does look nice and 3D.  Just perfection in my opinion.  I've tried other white with glitter polishes, but this is by far my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by!

Gosh Gasoline VS OPI Grape...Set...Match

Bottle Comparisons, blurred a bit, but you can see they have a similar finish.

Another bottle comparison

Today I have for you a comparison of GOSH Gasoline and OPI Grape...Set...Match.   In the bottle, I could tell that GSM would be a tad off because it has this goldish shift to it.  Gasoline seems to be a little bit more on the silver side of shimmer instead of gold.  GSM only needed 2 coats, 1 Poshe, but Gasoline needed 3 coats, 1 Poshe.  Gasoline is more of a jelly consistency.  Both have a glass fleck finish.  GSM is a tad darker, but overall, I think it's a good substitute if you can't find GOSH near you.  I believe the Serena Williams duos can still be found online.

Also, today is the extra day of February since it's Leap Year!  So I was chatting with a few ladies on Twitter today...what happens when you don't have 2/29 to celebrate your birthday?!  They said family/friends celebrate it either 2/28 or 3/1.  I guess that makes sense, but I would celebrate both days then!  I read an article about it and I guess it does cause a problems for some born on 2/29 if they have to fill out forms and such!  I guess some computer programs don't acknowledge 2/29 as an actual date, so if you write that as your birthday, they can't process it.  I can't imagine my birthday not being on a calendar.  That seems unfair!  I don't know why I've never thought of that before.  But anyway, that is my little tangent for today!  If you Google, I'm sure there will be lots about birthdays on 2/29.  So if you or someone you know has a birthday today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  Hope you celebrated yesterday, today, then again tomorrow :-)

blurred comparison

Below is the slight shift I was referring to earlier.  It seems like it turns more of a pink (gold doesn't really transfer to nail) when tilted at an angle.

Overall, I think both colors are beautiful!  I can notice the differences but I'm sure the everyday person wouldn't.  I think Gasoline would be great to layer!  I plan to try that out in the future.  To me, the color is different, but so is the texture of the polish.  As I said before, Gasoline seems to have more of a jelly finish, and may have not even needed a top coat.  I could tell the OPI GSM needed a top coat though, it dried almost flat, not very glossy at all.

I hope you enjoyed my comparison!  Tomorrow will be a GOSH Purple Heart comparison!

Have a great day!

GOSH Gasoline and Purple Heart

Gasoline - 3 Coats, 1 Coat Poshe

Today I have more GOSH polishes for you!  These colors are so awesome too!  I really wish the GOSH brand was available in the US!  I would buy all of their colors!  Lindsay from Polish & Diamonds was kind enough to swap with me for these!! ;-)

Gasoline is a gorgeous shimmer that is purple, but you can see hints of blue and pink in it.  It was extremely hard for my camera to pick this color up!  I know in the bottle it is more purple, but I definitely could see the fuschia color on the nail.  This is 3 coats of Gasoline and 1 coat of Poshe.

Now I personally think that they switched to two names for these polishes!  Gasoline should be the murky green to purple color!  Even the bottle has color swirls like you'd seen in gasoline!  And Purple Heart can be the shimmer one above, I guess because it reminds me of Valentine's Day and it has shimmer of purple, blue, and pink.  Oh well!  I guess that's the names they wanted!  Hope I didn't confuse anyone with my rambling ;-)  lol

Purple Heart - 2 Coats, 1 Coat Poshe

Purple Heart is a gorgeous duochrome!  It changes from purple, to a grey, to a green.  This is 2 coats with 1 coat of Poshe.  It also has a nice shimmer through it, nothing to bold, but just enough to keep the polish looking even more interesting than the color shift.  Plenty of pictures to see all the different shades of color from this gorgeous bottle!

See the bottle!?  It looks like gasoline! lol

So do you love these colors?  Me too.  And I'm sure some of you are sad because you don't have GOSH anywhere near you.  But you're in luck!  I *think* I have found some dupes for these, so look for that post in the next couple of days.  I'm not sure if I'll do the last two GOSH polishes or my comparisons yet.   Leave me a comment if you prefer one over the other!

Hope you enjoyed more swatches of GOSH!  ;-)

GOSH Golden Brown and Rusty

Golden Brown - 2 coats, 1 Poshe top coat

Today I have 2 of the 6 GOSH polishes I received in a swap from Lindsay at Polish & Diamonds.  I decided to break these into 3 posts because I have so many pictures!  And who doesn't love pictures!?  So today I am featuring Golden Brown and Rusty.  And I must say, these two went on perfectly!  I didn't even do any clean up on these!  The brush is a bit tinier than most, but it gave me great precision!  Both only needed 2 coats, which I actually thought Golden Brown would need at least 3!  I think they were even nice at 1 coat, which really surprised me.  Both received a nice thick coat of Poshe top coat to give them extra shine!

Now, go ahead and call me crazy, but Golden Brown made me think of blonde hair! LOL So below is a picture of my hair with the mani.  Don't they sort of look similar!?   I know it's not perfect, but that is just what I am forever going to associate this color with now :-) lol!

Next is Rusty, a gorgeous "red head" color!  hehe but it is stunning!  It has these extra little pieces of shimmer in it, giving it extra sparkle!  It also reminded me of a shiny new penny!

Rusty - 2 coats, 1 Poshe top coat

These are wonderful new additions to my collection!  And the formula is great!  I hope your excited for the two purples tomorrow!! :-)

Have a great Monday!  Isn't hard to believe how quick the weekend goes by!?  If only we had an extra day or two!  Maybe I'd been able to relax more and get everything done that I needed too! lol

Joe Fresh!!

Twilight - 3 coats

I have 3 gorgeous Joe Fresh polishes to show you!  I did a swap with the lovely Lindsay at Polish & Diamonds.  I am so thrilled to have these!  They apply like butter!  First up is Teal, it could almost be a 1 coater (I used 2)!  It is a teal color (hence the name, lol) and has a pearl shimmer.  Next is Khaki, which I used 2 coats.  It is a light army green with a pearl shimmer.  And last, but not least, is Twilight, which is a black jelly and flakie that shifts from green to gold to orange.  I used 3 coats for the pictures.   This color is so pretty!  The flakies are huge too, which make it even better!  Each polish has a thick coat of Poshe top coat (love how glossy they look!).  It says they are $4 on the bottle, but I believe Lindsay found them 3/$10!  She is in Canada, but I believe they have a store in New York?  Not 100% sure, sorry!

Teal loved to change colors on me and not photograph very well!  It is pretty close though in the picture above though.  I've read that this is a perfect dupe to Rescue Beauty Louge - 360, sorry I don't have RBL to compare it!

Next is Khaki!  Another hard color to photograph! lol The color dried slightly darker than the bottle.

It is crazy how much lighting affects the color!  It kept changing on me, like in the next two photos!

And last we have Twilight!!  Wow.  Just wow.  Black jelly with huge flakies - need I say more?

Hope you enjoyed my photos of my new beauties!  Thanks again to Lindsay for swapping!!

Have a great weekend!

Much Love,
Crystal
