KBShimmer Party

Today on the blog, I have another white glitter polish!!! *throws confetti*  Are you tired of them?  I sure hope not...because they are my favorite and I LOVE to show them to you guys!  It's hard to keep them all straight!  I'll have to do a comparison post some day :-D

This is the wonderful Party from KBShimmer!  I received a ton of compliments while wearing this!  It just looks like a party on the nails, doesn't it!? Christy is the owner, and not only sells polish, but a ton of really great other stuff! I tried her bath bombs, which were delicious! Check out her Etsy shop here - http://www.etsy.com/shop/KBShimmer.

Here is KBShimmer's description of Party:
For this polish, we started by creating a semi-sheer white base. We then added red and black square glitter, a medium sized royal blue hex, holographic gold hex, and silver holographic diamond glitter. To finish our party, we added fucshia, navy, and green fine glitters. We find that due to the size of glitters and micas, polish feels and looks best with a coat or two of quality top coat. Polish can feel rough if left without. Two coats of polish are shown in the picture along with one coat of Seche Vite top coat.

I used 2 coats for the photos with Wicked Fast top coat. Another little bit of info about Christy, is that she does videos for her polishes!! You can check this one out right below!

Isn't that cute!!??  That was instantly my thoughts when I saw Party!!  I think that Pretty & Polished Party on my Yacht ad Jawbreaker had a baby!! :-D hee  And for white glitter polish lovers like me....well you can NEVER have too many white glitters!! I may just have a to hoard them all - muahahahaha! ;-)

KBShimmer is out of stock on polishes, but will hopefully be restocking mid-June!  :-)

Hope you have a great day!!

Much Love,
Crystal

Zoya, Pretty & Polished, and ManGlaze combo!

Hello!  Today I have Pretty & Polished Sand Art layered over Zoya Zuza.  I LOVED how this turned out!! I later used ManGlaze MatteAstrophe later, looked amazing!!
Let's start from the beginning. You can find Zuza here - https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/011A25C1 - This is a Share the Love link, which is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too!
See what Zoya wrote: Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. TIP: If you use this coupon and add 2 more polishes to your order, you get free shipping too! The coupon will appear in the "My Coupons/ Promos" section of their "My Account" Page.

Pretty great deal! And actually I got a bottle of their Qtica Growth Stimulator https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0111DC19 (another link!) for the price of shipping (a $20 value!) through all their gifts of Share the Love points - didn't even do anything!  They give out points a lot, so it's easy to collect them to get something great!
This is 1 coat of Zuza.  It is a gorgeous teal with silver shimmer/frost through it.  I almost didn't show you, but I kind of wanted to because of how well the mani works with only 1 coat of the base!  I will redo this color later to show it properly, but for this mani, only doing 1 coat is a real time saver!  I obviously painted this quickly because I knew I'd be layering over it.

Next up, I added 1 coat of Pretty and Polished Sand Art.  Pretty & Polished, by Chelsea, can be found on Etsy HERE. She restocks quite a bit, but is on vacation for the next couple of weeks.  She posts information on her Facebook HERE.   I always rave about her formula because her polish applies perfectly and looks great! Her shipping is extremely quick too!  Overall, she has great creativity and I think if you purchase, you'll be extremely satisfied!

Here is her Etsy note:

"The shop will be stocked this Thursday night.
There will be over 700 polishes available!

Please read our new policies before placing an order!

International Shipping:
Currently, international shipping has been suspended until we can find a safer, more reliable means of shipping. We are working on getting this figured out ASAP. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to message me and I will look into it.

When international shipping resumes, we will only put exactly what is in your package on the custom forms and the value of the contents. Postal regulations are very strict and the bad far outweighs the good in regards to fines and such.

As the buyers, you are responsible for any taxes, fees, and/or duties that are associated with international shipping. Pretty and Polished will not be responsible for any items that are taken by customs.

Again, we are working on finding a way to resume international shipping and we plan on having it available again soon.

Lost or Missing Packages:
All domestic packages are sent with tracking numbers. After the package has been received by the post office, it is out of our hands what happens to it. If you are having an issue with a package that was sent but isn’t showing that it has been delivered, or a package that shows delivered, but didn’t show up, please contact your local post office. If they are unwilling to help, as some are, please let us know if there is anything we can do. Currently, the USPS does not insure hazardous items.

Damaged on Arrival:
We are more than happy to exchange a polish that was damaged in shipping. We request that you send a picture of the broken polish within 24 hours of delivery. If there is something actually wrong with the polish itself, we will ask that you return the bottle to us for an exchange/refund. We can either send you a return label, or you can provide the shipping receipt and we can Paypal you the shipping costs back to you.

Return/Exchange:
Keeping in mind the health and safety of our customers, we cannot accept polishes back for returns or exchanges. Most of our polishes have been swatched not only by us, but bloggers all over the web. A quick Google search will usually result in many pictures. Please look at as many pictures as you can before purchasing so you know what you are getting.

Shipping:
We usually try to ship out twice a week, depending on the day of the week our sales fall on.

Pretty and Polished packages are processed and shipped within 3-5 business days after initial purchase. Processing and shipping times do not include Holidays.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE. I CANNOT COMBINE ORDERS OR REFUND SHIPPING FEES.

You may ask for additional services on your orders at your own cost (signature confirmation, etc.).

All polishes are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and mailed in a poly bubble mailer or a box filled with bubble wrap."

Tomorrow, May 31, she will open!  Sand Art is a gorgeous neon glitter mix!  There is purple, pink, yellow, blue - blue having two sizes.  Also, the purple is a little large too, and I feel it really pops against this teal!  Again this is 1 coat over Zoya Zuza.  I used Wicked Fast for my top coat.  This did leave a texture, but the name is Sand Art, lol, so I thought it was kind of cool!

For the rest of the pictures, I did apple Seche Vite to smooth it out.  It still had a slight texture, but was a lot better than only Wicked Fast, as this glitter really absorbs the top coat!

And then my friend, Bea, told me to matte it!  What a wonderful idea!!!  Why do I always forget about my beautiful MatteAstrophe!!!  ManGlaze makes the best mattes :-)

You can find MatteAstrophe HERE on Amazon, along with others.  If you order through Amazon, use the code and follow the information below to receive the 10% discount.
  • Save 10% on each participating item when you spend $10.00 or more on ManGlaze Matte Nail Polish offered by ManGlaze INK.. Enter code OCCUPYME at checkout. Here's how (restrictions apply)

You can find their Facebook HERE.  And can also order through Facebook, HERE.  Facebook already has the prices with the discount, listed as $11.82 for MatteAstrophe plus shipping.

Today was a long post, but I hope you loved this look!  I can't get over how gorgeous Sand Art is!  And I loved the combo of the three together!

Hope you have a great day!
Much Love,
Crystal

OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em and Lynnderella Change

Hello Everyone!  Today is my Monday, so hopefully this week will fly by!! It has been HOT here over the weekend!  I am getting so excited to have summer here, but I forgot how hot our house gets! LOL  I am a total AC fan - and ours isn't working at the moment! Mr. CC will look at it and get it fixed up though, so I'm not too worried!  My office usually keeps it so cold you can see your breath, so I'm sure it will feel good to have some warmth after work tomorrow! hehe

So today I did a yummy jelly sandwich using OPI and Lynnderella!  The picture below shows 1 coat of OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em and 1 coat of Lynnderella Change. over top.

This next picture shows another coat of OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em over top of that other two coats.  This is what creates the "jelly sandwich" effect!  You take a transparent, jelly polish and stick some glitter between the coats!  I love how this makes the glitter look!

I wore this to work and really loved it!!  Below is a pic in the sun!!

As I've talked about in the past, the Lynnderella frankens are in very high demand. Leah Ann LaRowe, who is currently the only seller of Lynnderellas per Lynn, has created a wish list system. That is how I received this one. Now it did take me a few months, but there are SO many of us that want these! I understand that this is a long process, but it has worked well so far to get everyone what they want!

You can find Leah Ann's site at http://shop.llarowe.com/. You can find her Facebook HERE, which she updates constantly as to how things are moving along in her shop. Unfortunately she isn't accepting wish lists at this time because she is filling the orders of the current wish lists. She will hopefully be getting more shipments from Lynnderella soon to continue to move through them to be able to accept new lists. I've also heard rumor of another collection from Lynnderella!   We haven't seen anything yet, but each week I think we get closer to it!  I cannot wait to see what new colors Lynn has come up with!

I decided to get a little more crazy and go for another coat of glitter and another coat of jelly!  I love the 3-D look it gives the nails!  It just looks so deep and glossy!  So to be clear what you're seeing - 1 Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em, 1 Change, 1 Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em, 1 Change, and 1 Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em.  I finished with 1 coat of Wicked Fast top coat, but then that crazy gorgeous glitter on my pointer finger was a bit thick, and I added Seche Vite.

Change is gorgeous, with all different types of gold and holographic gold glitters.  I couldn't believe that hexagon on my pointer came out!  I have said it before, but will say it again, a Lynnderella is like a surprise each time you pull out your brush!  I just love it!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!  Hopefully I didn't make you too hungry with my jelly sandwich!!

Much Love,
Crystal

Happy Memorial Day!

I wanted to post today to honor the men and woman we have lost while serving in our country.  I proudly wear the Red, White, and Blue.  So many, so brave.  Today we think of you.

This mani has been done using OPI Color So Hot It Berns and Nail-Venturous Flying Blue Jay.  You can see my previous post on Flying Blue Jay HERE.

I hope you enjoy the day and remember all those that lost their life for our country.  I realize many of you aren't in the US reading this, but am also proud to share with you one of the greatest days that the United States has reserved to celebrate the lives of our heros.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Much Love,
Crystal

Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Peanut Butter and Jelly

Hi Everyone!! Happy Friday!!!! :-D  I cannot believe May is almost over, where did the time go!?  I am thankful for summer though!  I really want to get to the beach more than last year!

Today I have a gorgeous polish by Whimsical Ideas by Pam.  I found her polish because I started seeing color Seuss pop up on blogs.  I fell in love with all her colors!  I was so glad to be able to buy Peanut Butter and Jelly, even though I'm not a fan of Peanut Butter (I know, I know - just can't do it!).  But I still love this color and am thankful it doesn't smell anything like PB!!! LOL

You can find Pam's Facebook page HERE!  Here is her about me section:
nail polish is $10 per bottle. if you would like to place an order, please email me at pea422000@yahoo.com. i will put you in the queue and invoice you asap. currently, i am only shipping in the US.

I am sorry to tell you International Ladies that she only ships in the US :-(  For those ordering, it does take a little bit, but don't worry!  She will get your order to you!  She probably has a ton of orders coming in (since these colors are stunning), so just give her a week or so to get back to you!  She also posts updates on her Facebook for progress.  She has always been very informative about the orders, you recieve your invoice when your polish is ready and she ships as soon as you pay.  Very simple and I've enjoyed buying from her!  I just love her bottles and labels and bows!!

Under the picture on her Facebook wall, Pam wrote: "my latest creation is called "peanut butter and jelly".  i worked all afternoon to mix the perfect shade so it would look just like grape jelly."  And that it does!  It is a beautiful jelly polish with gold glitter of hexagons and smaller gold glitters floating throughout.  For these pictures, I did 3 coats with 1 coat of Wicked Fast.  I did originally have on 2 coats, which looked great!  However, I type a lot all day and easily get tipwear, so I threw on another coat for pictures.  It made it a bit darker, so I would say it just depends on what shade you are trying to achieve!  2 coats might be a raspberry or strawberry jelly, 3 coats would be more of your grape jelly :-)

Another interesting caption from Pam's Facebook on this picture was a fan/customer asked how she did this, as in creating polish.  Pam wrote: "It's a combination of art and chemistry...with more chemistry than i expected. i thought it would just be like mixing paint, but it's not...if you put glitter into paint, you wind up with painted glitter. the challenge is to get the glitter to still shine and to get it to suspend so that all the glitter doesn't sink to the bottom."  I just love that!  Thank you for your hard work Pam - you do amazing work!!!

Is anyone else hungry now?  I am, hold the PB though ;-) lol  Another reason I love Whimsical Ideas by Pam is because she has mentioned more than one on her Facebook page that every polish she creates, the name has special meaning to her.  It refers to either someone or something that she knows and loves!  I love that too :-)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and if you're in the US, enjoy the long weekend!!

Much Love,
Crystal

KBShimmer Proud Peacock

Hello hello!!  Almost to the weekend, I can do this! lol I am ready for a relaxing long weekend!!!  Does anyone have any exciting plans?  I was considering going camping, but I think the hubby and I are going to stay in instead! This week has already been pretty busy, had to run around for errands and such!

Today I have a very lovely polish for you called Proud Peacock made from KBShimmer!  Christy is the owner, and not only sells polish, but a ton of really great other stuff!  I tried her bath bombs, which were delicious! Check out her Etsy shop here - http://www.etsy.com/shop/KBShimmer.

Here is KBShimmer's description of the polish:

Like a peacock's tail, this polish is one you will be proud to show off. A teal green base is accented by tons of glitter. We started with a large royal blue hex, and added both a black and black opal hex. We then went micro with purple and white diamond glitters. Fuschia, teal, and navy small glitters accent several holographic glitters, including a silver bar, teal, and two sizes of silver.
I used 2 coats for the photos with Wicked Fast top coat.  Another little bit of info about Christy, is that she does videos for her polishes!! You can check this one out right below!

Here is a bit of information taken from KBShimmer's Facebook page, which you can find HERE:

Good news and bad news: Bad news first: For those of you that might miss tonight's restock, and are wondering when my next restock will be, I just got news my next base shipment has been delayed. That means it will be about 4-5 weeks before my next restock. If it happens sooner, I will update here. Good news: International folks, I am in the works with a company to carry my polish for international sales. Yeah! I hope that I will have more details within a week or two and to where and when you will see polish for you.
I know this kind of stinks, that these colors aren't for sale for a while.  But all good things come to those who wait!  :-)  And I just missed her recent sale too!  Where was I?! haha These new colors look fantastic, you can see her Facebook photo album HERE.  I cannot wait til she gets more base!!  Why does there have to be a shortage!?! ;-)

I hope you all have a great day!!

Much Love,
Crystal
